The pattern was created for the luggage and accessory company TomToc. The peonies give it a lush feel and the floating fairy skeletons add some edge :)
The client liked my other piece featuring skeletons and flowers and wanted a similar theme for their laptop cases and bags. We spent a long time perfecting the layout and achieving good flow.
The client needed a variety of colorways but I was free to play with the combinations as long as one of the versions had a black background. The black colorway was the last one I made but I really loved how intense it came out.
Chartreuse is one of my favorite hues by far, but often it's not easy to integrate it well into commercial projects. This time purples and blues came to my aid to make it work.
